Reynold "Reggie" J. Ostrout, Jr., 59
West Brookfield - Reynold "Reggie" J. Ostrout, Jr., 59, died Thursday, February 25, 2016 in the UMASS Memorial Medical Center in Worcester.
He leaves his wife and best friend of 40 years, Patricia A. (Guzik) Ostrout; two sons, Jeremy Ostrout and Nicole of West Warren and their children, Nicholas and Alex and Jason Ostrout of West Brookfield and Corie Buelow of Ware and their children Ava and Mason; one daughter, Amanda Bouvier and her husband Brent of West Brookfield; his father, Reynold J. Ostrout and his wife Kitty of East Brookfield; one brother, Richard Ostrout and his wife Laura of East Brookfield; two sisters, Angela Giza and her husband Michael of Warren and Anita Korzec of Ware; four step siblings and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was born in Ware, son of the late Marie (Benoit) Ostrout and grew up in Warren and lived 25 years in West Warren before moving to West Brookfield in 2002.
Mr. Ostrout was a Quality Control Engineer for Colfax Corporation for 35 years before retiring in 2010.
His fondest moments were of the time spent with his grandchildren, family and friends. Reggie enjoyed riding his motorcycle, and working on vintage cars. He was a member of the Windham County Kennel Club in CT. and enjoyed spending time with his faithful dogs.
On behalf of Reggie, his family would like to sincerely thank Dr. Nath, the nurses and staff at the clinic, on 8 West, and on the bone marrow unit of UMASS for extending Reggie's time with us.
A Funeral Service for Reggie will be held Thursday, March 3, 2016 at 11:00 AM in the First Congregational Church in West Brookfield. Calling hours will be held Wednesday, March 2, 2016 from 5 to 7 PM in the Varnum Funeral Home, Inc., 43 East Main St., West Brookfield.
