Ware - Richard J. "Ricky" Griffin, 65, of Ware died on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at Baystate Mary Lane Hospital following a brief illness.
He leaves his daughter, Alicia Griffin, as well as his two sisters, Lisa A. Chevalier of Ware, and Kathy A. Sinclair and her husband Francis of Ware. He was born in Ware, son of Theresa A. (Deslaurier) the late Raymond J. Griffin and was a life-long resident of the area.
Richard was as a metals machinist, and worked at Rathbone Precison Metals in Palmer for over 15 years, before retiring earlier this year.
Ricky was a competitive and skilled horse shoe thrower. He taught his daughter Alicia how to play, and would recruit her to be his partner in games. He was a long time member of the Aspen Street Rod & Gun Club, where he would often play.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 1, 2018, at 12 noon at the Aspen Street Rod & Gun Club, 58 Aspen St., in Ware.
Charbonneau Funeral Home, 30 Pleasant St., in Ware is assisting his family with arrangements.
