Richard J. Robitaille, 75
Warren - Richard J. Robitaille, 75, of Washington St., died, Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at his home surrounded by his family.
He leaves his wife of 47 years, Irene L. (Tessier) Robitaille; four sons, Peter Robitaille of Warren, Jayson Robitaille of Palmer, Anthony Robitaille and his wife Angela of Palmer, and Ralph Robitaille of East Hampton; two daughters, Tammy Robitaille of Eugene, OR and Rebecca Gillespie and her husband Ralph of North Oxford and five grandchildren, Anthony, Madison, Travis, Katelyn and Tyler. He was predeceased by a brother, Ronald Robitaille. He was born in Ludlow, son of the late William and Eugenie (Gernon) Robitaille and grew up in Wilbraham and later lived in Springfield before moving to Warren in 1974.
Mr. Robitaille was a lifelong machinist working for several companies including Warren Pumps, Perkins Machine and several manufacturers before retiring.
He was a United States Army Veteran of the Vietnam War.
Richard was a member of the Greenville Baptist Church in Rochdale. He was an avid gardener who enjoyed going to Bible study, guitar music, and coffee trips downtown to see friends and most of all spending time with his family.
A Funeral Service for Richard will be held on Monday, April 18, 2016 at 11:00 AM in the Varnum Funeral Home, Inc., 43 East Main St., West Brookfield. Calling hours will be held prior to the service from 9 to 11 AM in the funeral home. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery in Warren.
