Rita H. McQuaid, 90
Ware - Rita H. (Courchesne) McQuaid, 90, of Highland St., died on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at Quaboag Rehabilitation and Skilled Care Center.
She leaves her daughter, Christine Davies and her husband Paul of Ware; four sons, Timothy McQuaid and his wife Elizabeth of NH, David McQuaid and his wife Kitty of PA, Patrick McQuaid and his wife Michelle of Sterling, and Richard McQuaid of Ware; 15 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Thomas L. McQuaid in 1966, her daughter Suzanne in 2003, and her 6 brothers and sisters. She was born in Ware, daughter of the late Hector and Alice (Chagnon) Courchesne and has been a lifelong resident of Ware.
Rita loved being in her home with her large family. She loved to cook, and was famous for her french meat pies.
She was a member of All Saint's Church in Ware.
A Funeral Mass for Rita will be held on Saturday, August 18th at 10:00AM in All Saint's Church, 17 North St. in Ware. There are no calling hours. Burial will be in New St. Williams Cemetery following the mass. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
