Warren - Robert (Bob) E. Giza, 69, of Warren died on Friday, December 10, 2021, at home surrounded by his loving family.
He leaves his wife of 45 years, Sandra J. Giza; his daughter, Amanda Rodrigues and her husband Valdemar Rodrigues of Thorndike; his son, Andrew Giza and his wife Alyson Weeks of North Brookfield, and his five adored grandchildren, Kaleb, Blake, Luke, Olivia and Gabriel. Bob is also survived by his in-laws, Debra Palka, Louise Hamlin and her husband Rodney Hamlin, Warren Breveleri and his wife Michelle Dalton, Gloria Murphy, and Janet Giza, as well as many nieces and nephews, and his beloved Shelties, Buddy and Chance. He was predeceased by his brother, Walter E. Giza. He was born in Ware, son of the late Walter E. and Helen (Dabrowki) Giza.
Robert worked at Kanzaki Paper as a Coater Operator for over 40 years before his retirement. Bob believed that you should work to live, not live to work, and he spent countless hours of quality time with his family, truly supporting them in every endeavor or challenge they faced. Bob also loved to go to the casino with his wife, Atlantic City family vacations, playing Spider Solitaire and listening to 1950's music. Every year, Bob painstakingly crafted his legendary Christmas light display, which was truly a labor of love for his grandchildren. Bob was an incredibly caring and selfless person; he was everyone's first call for help and his kind, sage advice will be missed by all that were blessed enough to receive it. He was a model partner, father, grandfather and friend, and his legacy will be one of a man who demonstrated unwavering devotion to those he loved.
A Funeral Service for Robert will be held on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Varnum Funeral Home, Inc., 43 East Main Street in West Brookfield. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Warren Fireman's Association at P.O. Box 608 Warren, MA 01083.
