Roger P. Lamb

January 8, 1937 — June 14, 2022

Warren - Roger P. Lamb of Warren passed away on Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at Harrington Memorial Hospital at the age of 85, surrounded by his loving family.

Roger will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 64 years Marilyn L. Lamb of Warren. He is also survived by his admiring sons, Michael Lamb and his wife Karen of Brookfield and  Jeffrey  Lamb and his wife Brenda of Winthrop, ME. Roger will be forever remembered by his grandchildren; Robert Lamb and his fiance Michelle Pasquale and Jeffrey Lamb; step-grandchildren David and Jacob Prior and step great-grandchildren Addison and Aiden Prior, and his many nieces and nephews. Roger also leaves his loving in-laws Barbara Potter, Linda and Richard Dumas, and Richard Floury.  He is pre-deceased by his sisters Rhea and Pearl, and his brothers, Harold, David, Pat, and Bert, brother in law William Floury and his infant grandson Michael Anthony who he is now meeting for the first time.   Roger was born in Bondsville on January 8, 1937 to the late Harold and Harriet  (Payne) Lamb.

Roger began his career as at a young age and learned to become a master carpenter and ended his career as a custodian at Warren Elementary School where he was loved and admired.  He was a perfectionist, but the road to get there was always interesting. Whether there were hammers missing or being thrown out of frustration or heated words being said under his breath, he always did these tasks with love and pride. Roger had many titles, but the one he was the most proud of was "Grampa". He created endless memories playing games and cards with the family and giving lawnmower rides to any of his grandchildren.

Roger was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and loyal friend. He enjoyed puttering around the house, wood projects, going out to eat, visiting his son's and daughter-in-laws, trips to Moosehead Lake, drinking coffee and getting scratch tickets at the Warren Spa . His family always loved to spoil him, as he gave much joy and love to all throughout the years.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN, 38142.

Varnum Funeral Home, Inc., 43 East Main St., in West Brookfield is assisting his family with arrangements.
