OBITUARY:
Rose M. Searah, 92
North Brookfield - Rose M. (Busby) Searah, 92, of Willow St., died Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at her home surrounded by her family.
She leaves six sons, Norman Searah of Des Moines, IA, David Searah and his wife Susan of Boscawen, NH, Lindsay Searah of North Brookfield, Dana Searah and his wife Pamela of West Brookfield, Mark Searah and his wife Kathleen of New Braintree and Edward Searah and his wife Susan of Brimfield; six daughters, Constance Hollenbeck and her husband Michael of Cape Coral, FL, Karen Rambin and her husband Floyd of Biddeford, ME, Bernadette Beland of Worcester, Deborah Searah and her husband John Pyle of Woodstock, CT, Frances Searah of North Brookfield and Gale Ledoux and her husband Mark of New Braintree and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband of 36 years, Andrew J. Searah and a daughter, Andrea Paladino. She was born in the town of Hayes in West London, England, daughter of the late Edward and Mary (Lloyd) Busby and grew up there and later lived in New Hampshire before moving to North Brookfield in 1956.
Mrs. Searah was the cafeteria director for 25 years for the North Brookfield School Department before retiring in 1990.
She enjoyed gardening, reading, knitting, and sewing and was a history buff who loved to travel. She also served as a Red Cross volunteer nurse for the 8th Air Force in England.
Funeral Services for Rose will be held privately. There are no calling hours and burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery in North Brookfield. Varnum Funeral Home, Inc., 43 East Main St., West Brookfield is assisting her family with arrangements.
