West Brookfield - Shirley W.(Wallace) Nimmons, 91, of West Brookfield passed away on Wednesday, June 28, 2023 at Brookhaven Assisted Care in West Brookfield. She was born on April 23, 1932 to the late Edward S. and Jennie (Kosmider) Wallace in Warren.
Shirley leaves her sisters, Alice Richards of West Brookfield, and Lillian Puckett of Hillsville, VA. Her life will be celebrated by her grandchildren, Matthew McRevey and Mariah Nimmons of Mill Valley, CA, and Shelby Mitchell of CO. In addition, her nephews and nieces Jennifer, Gordie, Steve, Cheryl, Eileen, Philip, Kennon (D.) as well as John and the Nimmons family. Shirley was predeceased by her husband, Richard Nimmons, who died in 1996, her partner Myland McRevey, who died in 2014, her sons, Edward "Dennis" and Mike McRevey, and her sister, Eleanor "Toby" Gann.
In life, she was a woman of many passions: An adventurous traveler who visited places like Alaska, England, Scotland, and Africa, a sewing and craft enthusiast, and a gifted singer who often sang at White Christmas in West Brookfield and the choir of the First Congregational Church. Above all, Shirley was best known for her devotion and her deep love of family and all people.
The family would like to express their gratitude for the exceptional care Shirley received at the Brookhaven Assisted Care in West Brookfield.
