Stephen J. Delanski

West Warren - Stephen J. Delanski, 69, of West Warren, died on Monday, July 9, 2018 at Yarmouth Regional Hospital in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia. He was on a tour trip of the area, when he was suddenly stricken ill.
He leaves his brother, David A. Delanski and his wife Kathleen of West Warren; two nephews, Derek Delanski and his wife Jane, and Scott Delanski and his wife Amanda, and three nieces, Amanda Delanski and her partner, Eric Scalise, Holly Delanski and her partner Justin Pagan, and Dezeree Kelley and her husband Benjamin. He was born in Ware, son of the late Stephen J. and Marie C. (St. Jacques) Delanski and was a life-long resident of the area.
Mr. Delanski earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the former Worcester State College, and worked as a Production Scheduler at William E. Wright Co. for several years.
Stephen was a member of St. Stanislaus Church in West Warren, where he often served as lector. He enjoyed frequently walking around town and meeting people, as well as his trips to McDonald's for a coffee and visiting with friends. His was a former candle pin bowling league member, and also stayed active in local Democratic Party politics. He loved to travel, by land, air, and the seas. He has literally traveled the world - visiting many destinations throughout Europe, as well as Ireland and Alaska. Cameras were always with him while traveling to record his adventures. Although he did not have children of his own, he remained close to David and Kathy, and loved being an uncle to their children.
A Funeral Mass for Stephen will be held on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at 10:00AM in St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, 2270 Main St., in West Warren. A calling hour will be held in the church from 9 to 10AM prior to the mass. Burial will be in St. Paul's Cemetery in Warren following the mass. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Stanislaus Church.
