Sun-ae Cook, 86, passed away on Monday, June 15, 2026, with her family by her side. She is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, David R. Cook; her sons: Michael Cook and Dustin Cook of Northampton; her brothers-in-law: Paul F. Cook and his wife Sandra of Texas and Mark Cook and his wife Terry of West Warren; a sister-in-law Maryann Severance and her husband Edward of MA; along with several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Her son, Kim Alan Thayer Cook and her sister-in-law Deborah Cook predeceased her.

Sun-ae was born in Seoul, Korea and immigrated to the United States in 1973. In 1980 she and David married and were longtime residents of Warren. She worked many years at Wrights as a cloth inspector, she loved gardening, cooking, sharing her family recipes with her son Michael and spending time with family and friends. All who knew Sun-ae will miss her dearly.

All are invited to her calling hours on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, from 10-12pm at Varnum Funeral Home, 43 East Main Street, West Brookfield, MA 01585 with a funeral service at noon in the funeral home. Burial will follow at St. Paul Cemetery, Main Street, Warren, MA.
