Susan E. Sibley

Springfield - Susan E. Sibley, 53, of Springfield, died on Thursday, November 4, 2021, at Cooley Dickinson Hospital after a lengthy illness.
She leaves her daughter, Sydney Dowgielewicz; twin sons, Brett and Cole Dowgielewicz; three sisters, Darlene Gildert and her husband Dean, Colleen Sibley, all of New Braintree and Cheryl (Sibley) Lee and her husband James and nephews Markus and Maeson Soderstrom all of Woodstock, CT. She was born in Ware, daughter of Charles N. and Patricia J. (Matukaitis) Sibley, Jr. She grew up Barre, and graduated from Quabbin Regional High School.
Susan received her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Westfield State University and taught Art in the North Brookfield Schools for 13 years. She also worked for MJ Norton Security of Springfield.
She loved animals and nature, but most of all she loved her children and family.
A Celebration of Life will be on Saturday, November 20, 2021 at 12:00PM at the Ye Olde Tavern, 7 East Main Street in West Brookfield. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her name to the Second Chance Animal Shelter, P.O. Box 136, East Brookfield, MA 01515.
Varnum Funeral Home, Inc., 43 East Main St., in West Brookfield is assisting her family with arrangements.
