Ware - Sutha Fountain, 70, of Ware, died on Saturday, December 28, 2024, at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield surrounded by her loved ones.
She leaves her husband of 51 years, Daniel C. Fountain; her daughters, Linda Fountain and her partner David Churchey, Christine Fountain-Towlson and her husband Robert; her grandchildren, Raven Towlson and Dean Fountain-Hinckley and his wife Shellie Sue Fountain-Hinckley; her brother Gao, and her faithful canine companion Jack, as well as many other close family members. She was born in Samutprakan, Thailand, daughter of the late Boonmee (Boonchit) and Kuay Sawadimongol.
Dan and Sutha met when Dan was serving in the Air Force. Over their many years together, she enjoyed camping, the warmth of the sun and sand of the beach, traveling to Cape Cod, walks along the Marginal Way in Oguinquit, Maine, as well as cooking and trying her luck in the casinos, both locally and in Las Vegas. Dan's favorite memories of Sutha were watching her, Linda, Christine and Raven walking along the shops of Cape Cod.
Sutha worked as a machine operator at the former Wm. E. Wright Co. in West Warren for 26 years. Later, she went on to earn her CNA degree and worked as a home health aide for 10 years where she took care of those who needed her care. She also enjoyed gardening, and over their many years together, was passionate about cooking for her family.
Calling hours for Sutha will be held on Sunday, January 12, 2025, from 2 to 4pm in the Charbonneau Funeral Home, 30 Pleasant St., in Ware. A private family celebration of life will be held at a later date.
