West Springfield/Ware – Theodora M. “Teddy” Trudeau, 97, a long-time resident of Ware, died on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, in Pioneer Valley Heath & Rehabilitation Center in South Hadley.
She leaves her sons, James Trudeau and his wife Janet of Florida, Thomas Trudeau and his wife Halina (Helen) of Ware, Christopher Trudeau and his wife Jane of Belchertown, and Alan Trudeau and his wife Susan of Maine, as well as 7 grandchildren, Alicia, Erik, Jillian, Derek, Tamara, Andrea, and Owen, and 7 great-grandchildren, Luca, Forest, Isla, Rosalyn, Demitri, Ashley, and Evelyn. She was predeceased by her husband, Alexander in 1989. She was born in Ayer, daughter of the late Albert W. and Christine (Bernier) Durépo.
Teddy was quite adventurous, which she carried on to even earning her pilots license when she was 51. She loved her large family of children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She loved the nature and beauty of the Quabbin, where she would walk the trails with her grandchildren. She remained healthy and active, and lived independently up until a few months ago.
She was a former long-time member of All Saint’s Church in Ware.
A Graveside Service for Teddy will be held on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at 11AM in New Saint William Cemetery, Belchertown Rd., in Ware.
