Theresa J. Bartus, 96
West Brookfield - Theresa J. (White) Bartus, 96, of Birch St., died Friday, May 13, 2016 at the Quaboag Rehabilitation and Skilled Care Center.
She leaves many nieces and nephews including Neil White and his wife Irene of West Brookfield, Douglas White and his wife Ethel of Clearwater, FL, Ruth White of West Brookfield and Judith Dickson and her husband James of Dunedin, FL and several great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Stanley Bartus in 1968. She was born in Dana, MA daughter of the late James A. and Elizabeth (Marcille) White and grew up in Petersham before moving to West Brookfield in 1938. She was a 1938 graduate of the Petersham High School.
Mrs. Bartus worked for the Gavitt Wire & Cable Company in Brookfield for 50 years before retiring in 1977.
A Funeral Service for Theresa will be held Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at 11:00 AM in the Varnum Funeral Home, Inc., 43 East Main St., West Brookfield. A calling hour will be held prior to the service from 10 to 11:00 AM in the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in North Brookfield.
