CHESHIRE, CT — Thomas L. Furgal, 75, of Cheshire, Connecticut, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 12, 2026.

Born on December 30, 1950, in Ware, Massachusetts, he was a son of the late Leon C. Furgal and Thelma A. (Dougdale) Furgal. Thomas was raised and educated in Ware and went on to build a lifelong career as a skilled tradesman, specializing in masonry and commercial construction.

Thomas was known for his strong work ethic and craftsmanship, earning the respect of colleagues and clients throughout his career. Outside of work, he had a passion for auto racing and could often be found at local racetracks, including Stafford Speedway, Thompson Speedway, and Riverside Park Speedway, where he enjoyed both racing and the camaraderie of the racing community.

He will be remembered for his dedication to his craft, his love of racing, and the time he shared with family and friends.

Thomas is survived by his friend James A. and Jac Cremo. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother Charles A. Furgal.
