BROOKFIELD - Torin R. Nye, 1, of Brookfield, passed peacefully into heaven on April 10, 2017 with his loving parents by his side.
Torin was born in Worcester on October 13, 2015 to his blessed parents, Timothy and Meghan (Lawrence) Nye and his amazing older brother, Kenyon Lawrence, of Brookfield. Torin is also survived by his paternal grandparents, Karl and Joanne Nye, of Northborough; his maternal grandparents, Norman and Carole Paquette, of Brookfield, and Stephen and Deanna Lawrence of Westminster, MD; his paternal great-grandparents, Robert and Jacqueline Nye of Sandwich; maternal great-grandparents, David and Beverly Wentworth of Spencer, MA. Torin adored his aunts and uncles: Michael and Caitlin Lawrence of Brookfield, Jeffrey and Tiffany Nye and Matthew and Erin Waterman of Rochdale, and Britton Lawrence of Westminster, MD. He was blessed with four cousins who loved him dearly: Taylor and Casey Waterman, Carter Nye, and Declan Lawrence, his best friend and partner in crime.
Torin was born into a large extended family of many other loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was absolutely adored and treasured by all who knew him.
Torin loved to chat, run, dance, and learn. He loved cars and animals of all kinds. He was amazingly smart and always happy. He will forever remain the shining light of his family's lives.
A Funeral Service for Torin will be held on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at 10:00AM in the Varnum Funeral Home, Inc., 43 East Main St., West Brookfield. Calling hours will be held on Monday, April 17, 2017 from 4 to 6PM in the funeral home. Burial will be in Brookfield Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, his parents ask that memorial donations be made in his honor to the Pediatric ICU at UMass Memorial Hospital - University Campus, 55 Lake Ave., Worcester, MA 01655, where he received loving and attentive care from their amazing staff.
