Hardwick---Vera M. (Schegosky) Mitchell, 89, formerly of Thresher Rd., passed away om Aril 5th in Quabbin Valley Health Care in Athol. She was the wife of the late Thomas P. Mitchell. She was born in Edmonton Alberta Canada daughter of Anton and and Stella (Lamb) Schegosky and was a long time area resident. Vera was a retired caregiver at the former Belchertown State School. She was a Canadian Navy Veteran of WW II. She was a communicant of St. Aloysius Church and had formerly worked for the Ware Knitters. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday April 18th at 10am in St. Aloysius Church, Church St. in Gilbertville. Burial will follow in St. Aloysius Cemetery. Charbonneau Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.
