Wendy A. Dion, 57
Palmer - Wendy A. Dion, 57, of Main Street, Palmer, died on Sunday, April 23, 2017 at Baystate Wing Hospital in Palmer.
She leaves one son, Steven R. Wright; one daughter, Candida L. Lesperance; her mother, Catherine F. (Bradley) Marier; her father, Russell C. Marier Sr.; her sister, Rosemarie Gagnon; three grandchildren, Dustin Wright, Cheyanne Lesperance, and Shantelle Lesperance, as well as several nieces. Mrs. Dion was predeceased by her husband of many years, Thomas R. Dion in August of last year. She was also predeceased by three of her siblings, Donald, Florence ("Flossy") and Russell Jr. ("Zacky"). Wendy was born in Tacoma, Washington, and lived in Rhode Island for many years.
Mrs. Dion was a Truck Driver at Maple Leaf Distribution for several years. She also worked as a waitress and school bus driver in the past.
Wendy was known by her family as being fun loving and possessing a caring heart. She loved being a mother and cherished her family. She found much peace when spending time by the ocean.
Services for Wendy will be held privately and there are no calling hours. Interment will be in the Columbarium at the Massachusetts Veterans' Cemetery in Agawam. Charbonneau Funeral Home, 30 Pleasant St., Ware, is assisting her family with arrangements.
