WILLIAM B. THOMPSON
1923-2013
Ware---William B. Thompson, 89, of Ware, passed away peacefully on Sunday April 14, 2013 at the Soldier's Home in Holyoke. Born in Springfield to William and Marion (Bruce) Thompson, he spent most of his life in Leominster and Ware. Bill was a dedicated man who enjoyed walking, biking, playing tennis, fishing and family. He served as a Sergeant in the US Army during World War II and received a Bachelor's Degree from Brown University and also an MS from Clark University. He spent most of his working career at Aetna Life and Casualty Insurance Co. in Worcester. Bill was a loyal father and loving husband. He is survived by his wife Mary (Mitchell) Thompson, his three sons Michael, Mark and John Thompson, as well as many loving grandchildren, nieces and friends. He is also survived by his sister Jean Sharland of Hollis NH, and her five daughters. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday April 20th at 10am in All Saints Church, North St. in Ware.
