Ware - Yvonne R. (Sorel) Vadnais, 93, of Ware died on Monday, December 18, 2017 at her home.
She leaves two sons, Gerard Vadnais and his wife Maria of Ludlow, and Andre Vadnais of Ware; two daughters, Jeanne Kochanek and her husband Joseph of Ware, and Monique Vadnais of Palmer; one brother, Edward Sorel of Gilbertville; five sisters, Cecile Chapdelaine, Rachel Sorel, Madeline Cebula, Lorraine Forgit, and Sylvia Demaio; one granddaughter, three great-grandchildren, six step-granddaughters, seven step-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of 41 years, Robert E. Vadnais in 1994, her son, Francis R. Vadnais in 2015, as well as her brothers Roland, Bernard, and Raymond Sorel, and her sister, Claire Charbonneau. She was born in Ware, daughter of the late Edmond and Lucia (Roy) Sorel, and was a life-long resident of Ware.
Yvonne was a homemaker, devoted to her husband, children, and large extended family. She enjoyed flower gardening and was an avid fan of soap operas.
She was a member of the former Mount Carmel Church and All Saint's Church in Ware.
A Funeral Mass for Yvonne will be held on Wednesday, December 20, 2017, at 11:00AM in All Saint's Church in Ware. There are no calling hours, and everyone is asked to go directly to the church. Burial will be in Mount Carmel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Baystate Regional Cancer Program, Baystate Mary Lane Hospital, 85 South Street, Ware, MA 01082. Charbonneau Funeral Home, 30 Pleasant Street in Ware is assisting her family with arrangements.
