Ann Desmond Obituary

Ware - Ann Marie Desmond, 50, of Ware, passed away on May 3, 2020 at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, after a courageous battle with Cystic Fibrosis.  She is survived by the love of her life and partner of 23 years, Christopher Pursell; her father, John Desmond of Ware; her sister, Mary Daley and her husband Paul of Ware, and her brother, Michael Desmond and his wife Barbara of Amherst, NH.  She also leaves her nieces, Jessica and Emily Daley, nephews Paul Daley Jr. and Christopher Desmond, her uncle Paul Desmond and aunt Kathy Desmond of Monson and two special cousins, Pat Cantwell and Daniel Desmond.  Ann was predeceased by her mother, Genevieve (Heffernan) Desmond, her aunt Mary Cantwell and her nephew Paul Desmond Daley.

Ann grew up in Ware, graduating from Ware High School, Becker College and STCC. She was previously employed as a medical assistant at UMass-Amherst Health Services.

Ann loved planting flowers in her garden, was an avid cat lover and enjoyed biking and walking. She looked forward to the warm weather so she could paddle boat, swim and sunbathe on Beaver Lake. She was very active in online Cystic Fibrosis support groups. Most of all, Ann loved socializing and being with her friends and family. Ann was an inspiration to all who knew her, living life to the fullest while battling her disease. Ann's family would like to thank, the caregivers at the multiple hospitals that assisted with her care.
