To all of Barbara's loved ones, to "Willow" and to our dearest Regan ...
Terry and I feel so blessed that we had the opportunity to get to know Barbara as we are a close neighbor of Regan's in Bennington. I miss Willow sneaking onto our deck and I miss our conversations with Barbara as she came to tell Willow it was time to go home. Terry and I feel so thankful we were close by to help in time of need. We too will hold Barbara close in our hearts. Our deepest sympathy to all of you.

I remember having Mrs. Alexander as a teacher. I had her in kindergarten and first grade. She was the best. I loved that she liked pigs. After all these years I still think about the time spent in here class room learning from her. She will always be very well remembered.
From a former Student of hers.

I was so sad to hear today of Barbara's passing. She was beyond wonderful. Being new to this town many years ago she was a huge part in the support for both of my children at West Brookfield. We hired Mrs. A to tutor Olivia being new to town and needing help with her reading skills. She became one of the family. She tool Livie for an ice cream after studying and made learning fun for her. When years later Sydney needed help with her math she did the same for her. Always coming up with new and creative ways to make learning fun and to have them feel at ease with her. She was always bragging about her grandchildren and her family and was one of the most loving women I had even met. I am so sorry that I was unaware and not able to pay my respects in person. She truly is reflective in the success of both of our children as they have grown and we feel grateful for her presence in our lives. My heart goes out to all of you. ~Lynn Corfey

Barb, knowing you for most of my life, I know of no one with more unconditional love. My heart will always hold you close. May God hold your loved ones in the palm of his hand, and may we one day, once again, share a hug and a laugh. This world is emptier without you, my friend. I'm jealous of the angels.. they must need a hero. Till we meet again.

I'm so sorry to hear about Barbara's passing. Our family only knew her for a brief time while she helped us with tutoring. During that time it was quickly evident to us all how special she was. Barbara's kindness and humor filled our home whenever she was here. We all looked forward to her visits and considered her an instant friend. So sorry for this tremendous loss. Our prayers and thoughts are with you .

I am so sorry to hear of Barbara's passing. She was such a vibrant woman who always had a smile for everyone. Her enthusiasm to teach children was so real. She helped my 2 children in so many ways. They would not be who they are now, if it wasn't for her love of teaching. I will forever be grateful and she will forever be in our hearts.

Dear Mrs. Crawford, Heather & Tim, Tyler & Cody, Regan and family. We are deeply sorry for the loss of your beloved Barbara. She was gracious and kind and had such a beautiful heart. She was always there for anyone who needed her. Barbara and I had a special ritual, and I think this verse captures it perfectly. "The wind begins to blow. Softly . Slowly. It kisses me gently on my cheek, "Come dance with me," it says. "We'll dance together with the leaves." And so I follow. We're twirling, swirling, whirling, swooping high and circling low. I dance with the leaves until they fall back down to earth. I fall back down too. And the wind gently kisses me goodbye. Rest easy my "breezy friend" until we meet again. May God Bless all of you, bring you comfort and beautiful memories to fill your heart with peace.

This was such a heartbreaking thing to hear. Mrs. A held a special place in my heart. She is one of the reasons why I became a teacher. This obituary def. Is her. Her laugh and smile lit up any room she was in. No matter what was going on in our life she knew what to say.
