David Pollack Obituary

Ware - David Alan Pollack, born on November 24, 1962 in Ware, Massachusetts passed away suddenly on July 28, 2021.  He was a hard-working man his whole life.  He proudly served his country in the United States Coast Guard, then went on to become a Machinist before becoming a long-time employee of Kanzaki Specialty Papers until his passing. Dave was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.  He taught his children and grandson that nothing in life comes easily. There will be both good and bad times, but you should always work hard and be a good person. Dave would always say, “That is life, and you won’t always get your way.”

Dave lived a life full of family.  In his earlier years, Dave and his partner in crime, Donna, spent many weekends camping and keeping their family members wondering what the Two Amigos were up to now?!?!  Later in life, nothing made Dave happier than holiday get-togethers, family cookouts and attending his children’s and grandson’s sporting events. His favorite hobbies were woodworking and taking his boat out on the Quabbin Reservoir fishing with his grandson, Talan.  Some of his favorite memories were family vacations in the White Mountains, Florida vacations with family in 2014 and 2015, and the Missouri vacation in 2021 with his wife and best friend, Joyce, his grandson Talan and family friend, Majka.  Dave loved working in the yard with his Kubota, fishing as often as he could with family, attending wrestling events with his wife Joyce and son Dereck, going to the Monster Jam with his family, and taking his daughter Crystal target shooting. Of all the activities that Dave loved, nothing was more important to him than his evenings alone with his wife Joyce watching movies on the couch together.  The legacy of Dave’s love for family, passion for sports, love of fishing and zest for life will live on through them.

Dave was preceded in death by his grandparents, Stanley and Rose Pollack; Dziadzu and Babu Wdowiak; his father, John Pollack, Sr.; his uncle, Freddie Pothier; and his father-in-law, Joseph Bourgoyne.  He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife, Joyce Pollack; his daughter, Crystal Pollack; his son, Dereck (Shelby) Pollack; his grandson, Talan Molina; his mother, Jean Pollack (Wdowiak); his brother, Jack Pollack; his mother-in-law, Beverly Allard; his aunts, Sandy Pothier and Mary Pollack; his uncle, Wally Pollack; and several cousins, nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Bonnie (Donny) Perron; his brother-in-law, Timmy (Katharine) Perreault; his sister-in-law, Jody (Paul) Parker-Matt; and his sister-in-law, Tammy (Bill) Bourgoyne-Cieslak.

Dave’s life was a blessing, his memory a treasure; he is loved beyond words and will be missed beyond measure.

Dave, I will hold you in my heart until I can hold you again in Heaven. Love ya tons, Hon.
