Diana M. (Lombardi) Hayes

Southbridge - Diana M. (Lombardi) Hayes, 66 of Hillside Rd., passed away peacefully after a two-and-a-half-year struggle with brain cancer on January 26, 2017 surrounded by her family.

She leaves behind her husband of 30 years, Edward Hayes of Southbridge; a son, Scott Ravenelle and his wife Barbara of West Deptford, NJ; a daughter, Tammi Conley and her husband Keith of Southbridge; her mother Ines Lombardi of Southbridge; a sister, Domenica Jane Blais of Southbridge; a brother, John Lombardi of Niskayuna, NY; four grandchildren, Vanessa Ravenelle, Bryanna and Zackary Colon and Briar Conley; one great-granddaughter, Liliana Ravenelle and many nieces and nephews.  She was born and grew up in Southbridge, daughter of the late Angelo Lombardi.

Diana worked as a supervisor at the Southbridge Credit Union in Southbridge for many years.  She had the uncanny ability to remember people.  She greeted customers by their names and didn’t worry about them not knowing their account numbers.

She was a member of St. Mary’s Parish in Southbridge.

A Funeral Service for Diana will be held on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at 6:00 PM in the Varnum Funeral Home, Inc., 43 East Main St., West Brookfield.  Calling hours will be held prior to the service from 4 to 6 PM in the funeral home.
