James Grant Obituary

 

East Brookfield - James Grant 80, of East Brookfield died peacefully on Friday, December 24, 2021. 

 

James leaves his loving wife Sandra L. (Mosman) Grant; his four children, Corey Grant and his wife Eileen of Leicester, Kirk Grant and his wife Sheila of Spencer; Chris Grant and his wife Michelle of Rochdale; Heather Petruzzi and her husband Peter of Savannah, TN; his beloved grandchildren, Michael, Timothy, Kevin, Kelly, Casey, Gina, Peter, Jr., Sabrina, Brody, Shelby and great grandchild Emmett.  He was predeceased by his brother, Raymond Grant. He was the son of the late James S. and June (Donald) Grant. 

 

James came to America from Aberdeen, Scotland when he was six years old with his parents and brother, Ray.  He met his high school sweetheart, Sandra on the school bus. They were married for almost 60 years.  Jim loved all sports. He was an avid Patriots and Red Sox fan.  He coached little league for many years. 

 

He worked at the Wyman Gordon Company in the Industrial Engineering Department. 

 

Jim, with Sandra loved all their dogs, especially Ava. 

 

Jim enjoyed meeting people everywhere he went, telling a joke or two, having a laugh or sharing a cup of coffee.  He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. 

 

A Celebration of Life is planned for the Spring.
