Ware/Brooksville, FL - John A Wojcik, Jr, 83 of Ware, passed away unexpectedly in Brooksville, FL on January 27, 2022, after a brief illness. John was born in Norwich, CT and raised in Warren.
After high school John served his country in the U. S. Navy for 11 years active duty and in the U.S. Coast Guard Reserve for 19 years. John retired as a Senior Chief Petty Officer, which was an achievement he was very proud of. He was also employed by William E Wright Co for 20 years in management and also worked at Vibram for 7 years.
John leaves his loving wife of 42 years, Marjorie Wojcik; his son, John Wojcik, III and daughter, Patricia Wojcik, both of Norwich, CT; his step-children, Christine Gauthier and husband Jim of Brooksville, FL, David Aucoin and wife Trish of Wilbraham and Tammy Beaumier of Ware; his beloved six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; his brother, Father Roger Wojcik and his sister, Diane Wojcik both of Norwich, CT., as well as his brother-in-law/best friend, Raymond Smith and his wife Joyce of Spencer.
He was a parishioner of All Saints Church in Ware and a member of the American Legion.
John loved long rides, eating out, golfing, spending time with family and friends, especially his grandchildren. He was always willing to help everyone. John had a true love for life and will be missed dearly.
A Funeral Mass for John will be held, Saturday, June 11, 2022 at 11am in All Saints Church, 17 North Street in Ware. Calling hours will be held from 9:45 to 10:45am prior to mass in Charbonneau Funeral Home, 30 Pleasant Street in Ware. Burial with military honors will be in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cemetery will follow mass.
