Marcia E. Merrill

West Brookfield -Marcia E. Merrill, 92, passed away on Saturday, October 7, 2017, at the Quaboag Rehabilitation and Skilled Care Center in West Brookfield.

She was predeceased by her parents, Guy and Ruby (Gilbert) Merrill, her brothers George, Theodore and Willard (Bill) Merrill and her sisters Elise Buchanan and Louise Chase. She leaves 73 nieces, nephews, great-nephews and nieces and great-great-nephews and nieces.

Marcia worked at the former William E. Wrights Company in West Warren, sewing parachutes during World War II, Gavitt Wire & Cable Company in Brookfield and retired from the Belchertown State Hospital in 1992.

Her family would like to extend their special gratitude to the nurses and staff at Quaboag Rehabilitation and Skilled Care Center for their loving care of Marcia.

A Graveside Service for Marcia will be held on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at 1:00 PM in Pine Grove Cemetery in West Brookfield. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to West Brookfield Rescue Squad, Inc.,  P.O. Box 540, West Brookfield, MA 01585.  Varnum Funeral Home, Inc., 43 East Main St., West Brookfield is assisting her family with arrangements.
