Pearl M. (King) Witt

Barre - Pearl M. (King) Witt, 94, of Barre, died on Monday evening, July 31, 2023 at her home.

She leaves her son and caregiver, Jeffrey K. Witt of Barre, and Bradley K. Witt of Oregon, and well as two grandchildren, Jessica and Brian.  She was predeceased by her husband, Karl G. Witt as well as her brother, William R. King.  She was born in Ware, daughter of the late William F. and Mildred Nichols.  She and Karl lived in West Brookfield prior to moving to Barre in 1952.   

Pearl enjoyed being at home and raising her two boys.  During her younger years, she worked as a clerk at the West Brookfield Post Office.  She liked working in the perennial gardens around her home, and watching the many different birds at her feeders.

She was a member of the Barre Congregational Church in Barre.

Her family would like to thank the doctors and staff of the Barre Health Center, the caregivers of the VNA of Worcester, as well as the staff at Landmark HealthCare of Marlboro.  Working together, they allowed her to remain in her home, which is where she wanted to be.

A Graveside Service for Pearl will be held on Friday, September 8, 2023 at 2PM in Glen Valley Cemetery in Barre.
