Ware - Priscilla  Taggart, 78, of Old Gilbertville Road, died on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at Baystate Wing Hospital in Palmer.

 

She leaves her companion of 38 years, George C. Slattery; two sons, Scott D. Taggart and his wife Maureen of Northborough, and Dr. Greg A. Taggart and his wife Michelle of Kenneunkport, Maine; her sister, Karen Slowick of Shrewsbury, nine grandchildren, one great-grandchild, one niece and three nephews.  She also leaves her two special friends from college, Sylvia Starkey, and Melba Leite.  She was predeceased by her sister, Marjorie Krupa in 2015, and a grandson, Andrew Taggart.  She was born in Fall River, daughter of the late Leslie and Marion (Smith) King.

 

Priscilla received her Bacholors Degree from the former Lowell State Teachers College, and was a music teacher at the Ware public school system  for 34 years, before retiring in 1997.   She was an avid reader of mystery novels, and loved her very special dog, Molly. 

 

She was a member of  the United Church of Ware, the Tuesday Morning Music Club in Springfield, the Lowell State Teacher’s College Alumni Association, and the Retired Teachers Association of Massachusetts. 

 

At Priscilla’s request, services will be held privately, and there are no calling hours.  Memorial donations may be made to the Scleroderma Foundation, 300 Rosewood Dr., Suite 105, Danvers, MA 01923.  Charbonneau Funeral Home, 30 Pleasant St., in Ware is assisting her family with arrangements.
