Raymond L. Edwards

Ware - Raymond L.  Edwards, 66, of Ware died on Monday, September 20, 2021 at Baystate Medical Center.

He leaves his three brothers, Adonis P. Edwards, Frank L. Edwards, Jr., and  James T. Edwards and his wife Jessica all of Ware as well as many nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his nephew Frank Leroy Edwards.  He was born in Holden to the late Frank L. and Rita (Chabot) Edwards.

Raymond started working for Ludlow Corporation in 1974 and retired from Kanzaki Specialty Papers in 2018.  He was a self taught man and took pride in teaching himself to become a computer geek.  Known to his nieces and nephews as “Uncle Moose” or “Uncle Sasquatch” he enjoyed spending time with them, making videos, fun photos, taking walks in nature, and giving the all special Uncle Ray airplane ride. His true love was flying.  Raymond received his pilots license in 1981 and loved the freedom flying gave him.  He enjoyed his time reading the bible and through the years read it 5 times.  He was a wonderful brother, uncle and friend and will be missed by all.

A Private Graveside Service for Raymond will be held in Mary Queen of the Rosary Cemetery in Spencer.   In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children, 516 Carew Street, Springfield, MA 01104, www.shrinershospitalsforchildren.org or St. Judes Cancer Research Hospital, New England Office, 313 Washington Street, Suite 310, Newton, MA 02458.
