Ware - Robert J. Bernardos, 77, of Ware died on Tuesday, October 27, 2020 at Baystate Medical Center after a long illness.
He leaves his wife, Phyllis Frances Bernardos of Ware; son, Robert J. Bernardos, II and his wife Luce of East Longmeadow; his brother, Ronald Bernardos of Granby; his four sisters, Kathleen Murphy of Chicopee, Melanie LaPlante of Ludlow, Judith Ratkiewicz of South Hadley and Patricia Chester of Ware; his grandchildren, Ashley, Alicia, Adam and Kyle as well as his great-granchildren, Ava, Tobey, Brantley, Whitney and Wesley. He was predeceased by his brother, Douglas Bernardos. He was born in Springfield, the son of the late Joseph and Julia (Krygowski) Bernardos.
Mr. Bernardos was a Veteran of the United States Navy.
Robert was a machine operator for Coca-Cola in Northampton, before retiring in 2006.
He was a member of Elks Lodge and the Chicopee Moose Lodge 1849, Aspen St. Rod & Gun Club and the American Legion Post 244 both in Ware. He was also a member of the St. Anthony of Padua Parish Church in Chicopee.
A Memorial Mass for Robert will be held on Sunday, January 17, 2021 at 8AM in St. Cecilia Parish, 42 Main Street in Wilbraham.
