Robert E. Giguere

West Brookfield - Robert E. Giguere, aged 94, of West Brookfield, died on September 14, 2023, at his home surrounded by his loving family.

He is survived by his children, Brian Giguere and his family of Montreal, Canada, and Sharon Jones and husband Keith of Palmer; his grandchildren, Matthew Jones and wife Akiko of Nagoya, Japan, Curtis Jones of Wilbraham, and Daniel Jones of South Hadley. He was predeceased by his wife, Jeanne in 2017, and by his siblings, Claire, Paul, Lucille, Harold, and William, Jr. Robert was born in East Brookfield, son of the late William and Evelyn Giguere.

He retired from Warren Pumps in 2002 after more than thirty years as a lathe operator and software engineer. Before that he was employed at Ware Knitters. He graduated from David Prouty High School in Spencer in 1947. He served his country in the US Army 69th AAA Gun Battalion during the Korean War from 1948 to 1952 and obtained the rank of Sergeant.

A funeral mass for Robert will be held on Friday, September 22, 2023, at 10 AM in the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church in West Brookfield, followed by a reception luncheon at the Publick House in Sturbridge. There are no calling hours. Burial will be held privately in the Sacred Heart of Jesus Cemetery.
