Robert A. Paige

Robert A. Paige, 75, of West Brookfield passed away on Monday, July 10, 2023 at his home, surrounded by family.

He leaves his wife, Lori A. (Pennock) Paige of West Brookfield, a son, Michael Paige and his wife Becky of Orlando, FL, a daughter, Robin Makepeace and her husband Steve of Bridgeport, NY, a brother, Billy Paige and his wife Jerilyn of Spencer, a sister, Nancy Paige and her husband Dan Thibeault of Princeton, six grandchildren, Rachel, Hannah, Ashley, August, Kaitlyn, and Taylor, nephew, Aaron and nieces, Jennifer, Alyson, Emily, and Logan.  He was born in Worcester, son of the late William and Marjorie (Wade)  Paige.

Robert served in the United States Navy, retiring from active duty as a Chief Petty Officer. He continued to serve as a reservist for 10 years following his active duty. Robert later owned and operated an independent trucking company until his retirement.

He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and brother as well as a faithful friend to many.  Robert was a true outdoorsman who especially enjoyed his time on the water boating and fishing. He was always there to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.

A graveside service with military honors for Robert will be held in the fall. Calling hours will be held on Saturday, July 15, 2023 from 1-3 pm in the Varnum Funeral Home, Inc., 43 East Main St. West Brookfield, Massachusetts. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Lab Rescue at lab.rescueme.org.
