Rollin C. Newton

Ware – Rollin C. Newton, 77, of Quabbin Sunrise, died on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at Baystate Mary Lane Hospital in Ware.

He leaves his companion of 29 years, Patricia Mistark; one son, Ronnie Newton and his wife Alice of Southbridge; three daughters, Darlene Dean and her husband Michael of Brookfield, Sue Newton of Brookfield, and Annette McNealy and her husband Russell of Texas; three brothers, Richard, Ronnie, and Roger Newton; three sisters, Barbara Willard, Flora Bellman, and Robin Paris; twelve grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and his faithful dog and best friend, Dusty.  He was predeceased by siblings, Robert, Bertha and Cynthia.  Rollin was born in Ware, son of the late Rollin E. and Bertha (Shepardson) Newton, and grew up in Hardwick and Barre and lived in North Brookfield prior to moving to Ware in 1989.

Mr. Newton worked as a Foundry Supervisor at Hersey Products in Gilbertville for 27 years and then worked at FLEXCon in Spencer for over 18 years before retiring in 2006.

Rollin enjoyed woodworking, gardening country music and NASCAR.

A funeral service for Rollin will be held on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at 10:00AM in the Varnum Funeral Home, 43 East Main St., West Brookfield.  There are no calling hours.  Burial will follow in Aspen Grove Cemetery in Ware.
