Suzanna Nimtz, 73

Hardwick - Suzanna (Soos) Nimtz, 73, of Hardwick, passed away at home, surrounded by the love of her family, on Sunday, February 26, 2023. She entered this world on October 19, 1949 to the late Laszlo and Maria (Muller) Soos in Vienna, Austria.

She will be mourned by her husband of 50 years, Vernon Paul Nimtz of Hardwick. Suzanna will be missed by her daughter, Laura Nimtz of Hardwick and her son, Nathan Nimtz and his wife Tessa of Barre. She is survived by her grandchildren, Noah Nimtz and Owen Nimtz. Suzanna is also survived by her sisters, Etelka Sarabia and Anna Staiti, and brother, John Soos. She is predeceased by her granddaughter, Eliza Rose.

Suzanna was an exceptional wife, mother and grandmother. She was selfless, caring, kind and quick witted. She loved her crosswords, mysteries, puzzles and lighthouses, which she had gone on tours in Maine and Connecticut to see. Suzanna was always dancing and she had a special place in her heart for animals, whether they were strays or her cows, Blue and Pal, on her and Vernon’s property in Brimfield. She worked hard for 32 years as a sales representative at Quabbin Wire and Cable in Ware, so she would relax by going out on the boat and swimming.

Calling hours for Suzanna will be held on Saturday, March 11, 2023, from 3 to 430pm in the Charbonneau Funeral Home, 30 Pleasant St., in Ware, with a service beginning at 4:30pm.
