Teddy S. Lechowicz

Brookfield - Teddy S. Lechowicz, 94, of Brookfield, died on Thursday, September 28, 2023 at his home.

He leaves his daughters, Dina Leavitt, and her husband Brian of Barre, Lori Bouvier, and her husband Wayne of North Brookfield, Debra Berthiaume, and her husband Peter of North Brookfield; his grandchildren, Erica Hillman and her husband Ethan, Shaun Bouvier and his wife Kim, Breanna Leavitt, Marissa Leavitt, and Benjamin Berthiaume, as well as his great-grandchildren, Kassidy, Nathan, Zachary, Ryan, and Morgan.  He was born in Ware, son of the late Frank and Agnes (Guzik) Lechowicz.  He was predeceased by his adored and beloved wife, Irene E. (Krisko) Lechowicz, as well as his eight other siblings.

Teddy was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy, enlisting at 16 years old and serving during WWII. Upon his return from the service, he completed his high school GED.  He went on to work as a foreman at the former Ludlow Paper for many years.

Teddy was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.  He very much enjoyed spending time with his rescue dog and faithful companion, Stella. He loved his family dearly and enjoyed their frequent vacations to Maine together.  Teddy was also an avid woodworker and golfer.  He played golf until he was 92, playing in a Quail Hollow Golf League, and he even scored a hole-in-one on a par 3 hole at the former Bay Path golf course.
