Wesley F. Varnum

Worcester/Brookfield - Wesley F. Varnum, 69, of Worcester, formerly of Brookfield, died on Saturday, July 1, 2023 at UMass Memorial Medical Center, University Campus in Worcester.

He leaves his son, John W. Varnum of Sturbridge, his sister-in-law, Carol A. Varnum of West Brookfield, two nephews, Marc A. Varnum and his husband Greg of West Brookfield and Matthew S. Varnum of Orleans, his great-niece, Claire E. Varnum of Florida and great-nephew, Aiden R. Varnum of Orleans, his good friend, Cheryl Wolf of Charlton and many cousins.  He was predeceased by his siblings, Carl R. Varnum, Jr., Alan R. Varnum and Ann E. Varnum.  He was born in Ware, son of the late Carl R. and Janet A. (Robinson) Varnum and grew up in North Brookfield before moving to Brookfield then Worcester. 

He was a graduate of the North Brookfield High School.

Wesley worked for many years for the Norton Company in Worcester as a carpenter before becoming disabled. 

A Graveside Service for Wesley will be held on Friday, July 7, 2023 at 2:00 PM in Walnut Grove Cemetery in North Brookfield.  There are no calling hours.  

Varnum Funeral Home, Inc., 43 East Main St., in West Brookfield is assisting his family with arrangements.
